These Black Bean Chocolate Cookies are so soft and so rich and so super chocolatey that you would never ever guess that they’re actually made mainly of beans. I bet most people wouldn’t even believe you if you told them after they’d tasted them.

It makes me so ridiculously happy when I create a new healthy dessert and this is an ultimate one:
- super simple
- no flour
- gluten free
- refined sugar free
- made of beans so…veggies, duh ;)!! So much good protein and fibre
- the flavour is absolutely amazing – incredibly rich and so decadent – pure chocolate heaven

I used coconut oil as a healthy fat and instead of flour, I went for ground almonds to give cookies more substance (and flavour).
So easy to make

You will be done so fast, you won’t believe it. And it only takes 15 minutes to bake. The hardest part will be waiting for them to cool down 😉
Important tip: since they’re flourless, they can be a bit more crumbly. Be sure to keep them in the fridge and they will be nice and firm. The cold will firm up the coconut oil that is inside and keep them firm 🙂

Black Bean Chocolate Cookies
Ingredients
- 1.5 cup cooked black beans
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/2 cup agave or maple syrup
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup almond meal blanched ground almonds or ground almonds
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 cup 50-75 grams of dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Warm up the oven to 170C or 350F
- Rinse and then drain the beans really well if using the canned ones, if you cooked them yourself, just drain them.
- Place in a food processor or a blender with all ingredients besides almonds and chocolate.
- Blend until smooth and then add ground almonds.
- Pulse a few more times to assemble. You will get a delicious and fluffy batter
- Now fold in chopped chocolate or chocolate chips – reserve 1/4 of amount to decorate the cookies before baking
- Use an icecream scoop to scoop up the batter in small balls and place on the baking tray lined with parchment paper leaving enough space for them to expand.
- Press carefully a few more pieces of chopped chocolate in each cookie.
- Bake for 15 minutes on convenctional oven. Don't use fan assisted mode as it may dry them out.
- When they’re done, they will still be soft. After the time elapses just take them out, trust me cause if these cookies overbake they will will dry out and not be as soft. If unsure, try moving one and if it feels like it’s holding it’s shape, they’re done.
- Be sure to store the cooled down cookies in an airtight container in the fridge up to 7 days. They can be bit crumbly if kept on room temperature.

Mekani super čokoladni kolačići od graha
Prefini čokoladni kolačići – mekani, jaaako čokoladnog i bogatog okusa, a gotovo da mogu biti večera! Sastoje se uglavnom od graha sa još par dodataka. Zato su bogati proteinima i složenim ugljikohidratima, dobrim masnoćama, bez žitarica i glutena.
Ja sam korisitila crni grah ali bilo koja kremasta vrsta će biti super. Jedino možda neće biti tako tamni gotovo crni, nego više smeđi, ali jednako fini.
Ako ste ljubitelji ovakvih jako čokoladnih, jednostavnih ali zdravih slastica pogledajte:

Vrijeme pripreme: 15 minuta + 15 minuta za pečenje
Količina: za 25 kolačića
Sastojci
- 1.5 šalica kuhanog crnog graha
- 1/4 šalice rastopljenog kokosovog ulja
- 1/2 šalice agavinog ili javorovog sirupa
- 1 žličica praška za pecivo bez aluminija
- 1 žličica soda bikarbone
- 1/2 šalice kakao praha
- 1/4 žličice soli
- 1 šalica mljevenih badema
- 1 žličica žličica soka od limuna
- 1/2 šalice čoko komadića ili 50 – 75 grama crne čokolade
Postupak
- Zagrijte pećnicu na 170 stupnjeva – klasična pećnica.
- Stavite ocijeđeni grah u blender ili sjeckalicu zajedno sa svim sastojcima osim badema i čokolade.
- Izblendajte dok ne bude glatka kremasta smjesa.
- Dodajte mljeveni badem i 2/3 količine komadića čokolade.
- Lagano umiješajte i grabite smjesu grabilicom za sladoled.
- Kuglice smjese stavljajte na masni papir ostavljajući dovoljno mjesta između jer će keksići narasti i spljoštiti se.
- Zatim niježno utisnite još koji komadić čokolade u svaku kuglicu.
- Stavite peći. U pečenju će se kolači raširiti i narasti.
- Pecite 15 minuta. Kad budu gotovi još će biti dosta mekani ali ne brinite, učvrstit će se kako se hlade.
- Obavezno ih čuvajte ih u zatvorenoj posudi u hladnjaku, na sobnoj temperaturi bi se mogli mrviti. Čuvajte ih oko tjedan dana. ili koliko izdrže 😉

Badem po želji možete zamijeniti nekim drugim mljevenim orašastim plodovima.
