I don’t enjoy eating store bought chocolate. I know, you’ll say I’m weird. Im my defence, it kind of doesn’t sit well in my stomach but this homemade, or any healhy homemade one is a completely different story. Some of my friends, hubby and daughter tried it and said that not only it was good, but the best chocolate they ever tasted. And I would wholeheartedly and humbly agree with them. My daughter also said that it kind of reminded her of M&M’s probably because of peanut butter-chocolate combo. I would say it’s so much more! There’s a layer of sweetness combined with bitterness of raw cocoa, nutty flavor of tahini and peanut butter and slight saltiness that brings out the flavors. Then the sweet and tangy gojis and toasted almonds, a true harmony there…

Ingredients
1/3 cup cocoa butter (melted)
1/2 cup raw cocoa powder
2 big tbsp peanut butter
1tbsp tahini
2 pinches of fleur de sel
dash of chilli
1/3 tsp vanilla powder
1/3 cup maple syrup
Method
1. Melt cocoa butter on steam (place the bowl over boiling water)
2. When melted, add all the other ingredients except for toppings
3. Mix gently until smooth. Taste for sweetness and add a bit more sweetener if needed
4. Pour the mixture on a baking tray lined with parchment paper
5. Shape and smooth it with a spatula
6. Then add the toppings. I used toasted silvered almonds and goji berries
7. Refrigerate it for at least half an hourNow you can eat it. And if there’s anything left, store in the fridge.
